Age UK East Riding is committed to promoting independence and active living for the over 50's in the East Riding of Yorkshire.
Age UK East Riding of Yorkshire covers a huge rural area reaching as far north as Flamborough Head and the boundary with Scarborough and Ryedale District Councils, south to the Humber Estuary as far as Spurn Point in the East and Gowdall and Pollington in the West (but not including the city of Hull which is covered by Age UK Hull) and across to the boundaries with Selby District and York City Council areas.
JOB VACANCY
Information & Advice Coordinator
Hours of work: 25 hours spread over 4 days each week.
Salary: £12,467 pa
Location: based in Age UK East Riding’s Beverley office, with frequent trips around the East Riding area, for which car mileage is payable at 37p per mile.
Following a recent retirement, Age UK East Riding is looking for someone to join its Beverley based team who will oversee and deliver its information and advice service to people in later life resident in the East Riding of Yorkshire. The successful applicant will be accountable to the Chief Officer.
It is important that candidates are able to prove that they meet all the essential and many of the desirable criteria required of the post holder. The essential criteria include being skilled in and having experience of providing information, advice and assistance and having an understanding of the issues and needs affecting older people; as well as the skill and ability to communicate and work effectively with colleagues, volunteers, partner and other organisations.
